Abstract Much of the current experimental efforts for detecting Majorana zero modes have been centered on probing the boundary of quantum wires with strong spin-orbit coupling. The same type of Majorana zero mode can also be realized at crystalline dislocations in 2D superconductors with the nontrivial weak topological indices. Unlike at an Abrikosov vortex, at such a dislocation, there is no other low-lying midgap state than the Majorana zero mode so that it avoids usual complications encountered in experimental detections such as scanning tunneling microscope (STM) measurements. We will show that, using the anisotropic dispersion of the t 2 g orbitals of Ti or Ta atoms, such a weak topological superconductivity can be realized when the surface two-dimensional electronic gas (2DEG) of SrTiO 3 or KTaO 3 becomes superconducting, which can occur through either intrinsic pairing or proximity to existing s-wave superconductors.

Abstract A numerical calculation of the temperature and magnetic field dependence of the specific heat capacity, the magnetization, and the chemical potential is carried out. Of particular interest are the properties of the energy of a magnetic field in a two-dimensional electron gas exposed to a magnetic field. Thus, in this paper, we illustrate the effect of temperature on the oscillation dHvA of specific heat capacity and magnetization. As well a mathematical model has been developed for calculating the temperature dependence of the oscillations of the chemical potential and the density of states under the influence of a magnetic field. Using the proposed model, the results were explained at different broadening factors Γ. The calculated results show that specific heat capacity and magnetization increase as the magnetic field increases. Additionally, these increases carry out that the magnetic field is large enough to neglect the mixing of Landau levels caused by the sharp peak of Landeau levels. Moreover, the 2D dHvA effect is characterized by a sawtooth strap at a very low temperature.

Abstract The paper deals with the problem of luminescence due to non-equilibrium charge carriers transfer between the quasi-2D electron system localized in the space-charge region of the heterostructures based on lead sulfide films (up to 3 μm thickness) and zinc selenide substrates surrounded by the wide gap semiconductor region. The processes of electro- and photoluminescence are studied, the band diagram is proposed and the main parameters of the structure PbS/quasi-2DEG/ZnSe are calculated.
