Article 23: Einstein's Unfinished Dream – Complex Numbers, Symplectic Geometry, and Unification / Article 23 : Le Rêve Inachevé d'Einstein – Nombres Complexes, Géométrie Symplectique et Unification
Hubert MASSAU
Abstract: This article completes the theoretical unification of gravitation and electromagnetism initiated by Einstein. By modeling the Trame (the fundamental medium) as an incompressible symplectic fluid, we demonstrate that the complex formalism z = v + i . c is not a mathematical abstraction but a kinematic necessity. Mass is identified as the "captive" rotational energy (imaginary component) of a geometric vortex, while gravitation is identified as the radial tension (real component) of displacement. This framework clarifies the Gertsenshtein effect, proving that gravitational waves and electromagnetic waves are two inseparable facets of the same shock wave in the symplectic Trame.
