Abstract: This chapter in introduces the basic elements of Ramsey Theory, including the Erdős–Szekeres Theorem, Erdős’ lower bound on Ramsey numbers via random graphs, and the recent approach to Ramsey theory via pseudorandom graphs. We cover the topics of graph Ramsey theory, including Shannon capacity, Ramsey numbers for bounded-degree graphs, multicolor Ramsey numbers, canonical Ramsey theory, and the Erdős–Hajnal conjecture.
