Abstract: During the decade following the discovery of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), investigators documented the association with the virus with Burkitt’s lymphoma (BL), nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), and infectious mononucleosis (IM) occurring in tropical Africa in regions with holoendemic malaria, Southeast China, and in western countries, respectively (1). Also, during this decade the immunobiology of EBV-induced diseases was elaborated. These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
