In this study, the dielectric behavior of a carbon dioxide (CO2) - methanol (CH3OH) mixture is thoroughly examined and analyzed to understand how accurately reproducing the electrical properties of these molecules impacts their interaction in the mixture. The research involves a comparison of two different models for carbon dioxide and three models for methanol. It is found that the CO2/$ε$ model effectively replicates and enhances the dielectric constant, while the TraPPE 2015 and MeOH-4P models for methanol improve not only the dielectric constant $ε$, but also other key properties such as surface tension γ and liquid density \r{ho} of the pure liquid at a temperature of 298.15 K and pressure of 1 bar. plays a crucial role in understanding the interaction between and . This study compares different for both molecules to accurately predict their electrical properties. The results show that certain , such as CO2/$ε$ for carbon dioxide and TraPPE 2015/MeOH-4P for methanol, are more effective in predicting not only dielectric constants but also other important properties like surface tension and liquid density. The paper proceeds with an introduction to the in Section 2, detailing their parameters for both CO2 and CH3OH. Section 3 outlines the , providing insight into how the dielectric behavior was calculated. The results obtained from these simulations are then analyzed in Section 4, where comparisons between different . This allows us to evaluate their effectiveness in predicting key properties of the CO2-CH3OH mixture. Finally, conclusions drawn from this study are presented in Section 5, summarizing the implications of accurately modeling the electrical properties of these molecules on their overall interaction within the mixture. Furthermore, additional calculations were conducted to investigate the of an unmixed phase at a higher temperature of 323.15 K, expanding on our understanding of how these molecules behave under varying conditions. Overall, this comprehensive analysis provides valuable insights into the complex interplay between carbon dioxide and methanol in a mixed solution, shedding light on how accurate modeling can enhance our understanding of their interactions at a molecular level.
