Résumé : In this chapter, the steady-state heat transfer in biological tissue is considered. First, stochastic analysis of Pennes' bioheat transfer equation is given for simplified tissue geometry without external EM source. Then, stochastic dosimetry of temperature in homogeneous human brain and the three compartment human head are given, respectively. The EM part necessary for computation of the induced electric field and thus the specific absorption rate (SAR) inside the human brain is formulated as a surface integral equation solved by Method of Moments. stochastic collocation method is applied to thermal dosimetry of a three compartment human head. However, in this chapter only the thermal part is stochastic while the EM part is deterministic meaning that tissues' relative electric permittivities and electric conductivities are set to their respective nominal values. The last example of stochastic thermal dosimetry features the exposure of realistic human head to a plane wave radiation at 3.5 GHz.
