Résumé : This chapter describes the process of creating own exchange traded fund (ETF) hedge fund. Due to the popularity of the ETF structure there will be sponsors and even mutual fund companies issuing so-called actively managed ETFs. These types of ETFs basically defeat the indexing feature as there will be no index to link these to. Sitting on the side lines gaining some perspective free from risk is just fine at times. It is becoming more difficult to find competent FAs since their world has been dumbed-down to product marketing knowledge versus investment expertise and experience with stocks, bonds, and commodities. One advantage to managing or investing in a hedge or actively managed mutual fund is investors do not have to do anything but note the net asset value.
