- The internet is an integral part of human daily life and its architecture is continuously evolving
- Web 1.0 was static and informative, while Web 2.0 is dynamic and interactive
- Web 3.0 is a decentralized web architecture that aims to address web data ownership through distributed technology and optimize the internet world from economic, cultural, and technological perspectives
- Web 3.0 promotes novel content production methods, organizational structures, and economic forms while reducing risks posed by monopolists or criminals through a complete reconstruction of the internet and IT infrastructure
- Challenges facing the development of Web 3.0 include scalability issues in decentralized systems and interoperability between different blockchain networks
- Current technologies, challenges, opportunities, and outlooks are discussed in detail in a comprehensive survey by Wensheng Gan et al.
- Technical implementations of Web 3.0 include blockchain technology for decentralization and semantic web for intelligent data processing
- The revolution brought about by Web 3.0 includes increased privacy protection for users through decentralized identity management systems while enabling new business models such as tokenization through smart contracts on blockchain platforms

## Summary

The internet has become an integral part of human daily life, and with the vast amounts of data available online, the web architecture is continuously evolving. From the static informative characteristics of Web 1.0 to the dynamic interactive features of Web 2.0, scholars and engineers have worked hard to make the internet world more open, inclusive, and equal. The next generation of web evolution, Web 3.0, is already shaping our lives as a decentralized web architecture that is more intelligent and safer than before. Web 3.0 aims to address web data ownership through distributed technology and optimize the internet world from economic, cultural, and technological perspectives. It promotes novel content production methods, organizational structures, and economic forms while reducing risks posed by monopolists or criminals through a complete reconstruction of the internet and IT infrastructure. However promising it may be; there are still challenges facing its development such as scalability issues in decentralized systems and interoperability between different blockchain networks. In this comprehensive survey by Wensheng Gan et al., current technologies, challenges, opportunities, and outlooks are discussed in detail. The article begins with a brief overview of the history of World Wide Web as well as several differences among Web 1.0-3.0 before delving into technical implementations of Web 3.0 such as blockchain technology for decentralization and semantic web for intelligent data processing. The revolution brought about by Web 3.0 includes increased privacy protection for users through decentralized identity management systems while enabling new business models such as tokenization through smart contracts on blockchain platforms. However promising it may be; there are still challenges facing its development such as scalability issues in decentralized systems and interoperability between different blockchain networks.
