## Summary

In this paper, the authors aimed to improve the wear resistance of components such as screws under severe friction-wear by developing Fe-Cr-C-Mo-V-Ti-N hardfacing coatings. These coatings were obtained using the shielded manual arc welding (SMAW) method. To enhance their properties, ferroalloys were added into the coating flux of the hardfaced electrode and jointly nitrided. The microstructure analysis of the coatings was conducted using various techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), optical microscope (OM), field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry (EDS). Additionally, FactSage 7.0 software was utilized to calculate the equilibrium phase diagram of the hardfacings. To evaluate their performance, wear resistance tests were performed on a pin-on-disc machine. The results showed that the Fe-Cr-C-Mo-V-Ti-N hardfacings exhibited higher wear resistance compared to cladding layers without nitrides. In terms of manufacturing process, five layers of hardfacing were deposited onto each steel substrate using SMAW method to ensure a homogeneous specimen. The welding parameters and total thickness of the layer were carefully controlled during deposition. Specimens with specific dimensions were cut from the longitudinal section of the weld layer and subjected to grinding and polishing processes for further analysis.
