## Summary

Little by little, newspapers are revealing the bright future that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is building. Intelligent machines will help everywhere, but this optimistic outlook comes with a dark side: a dramatic job market contraction before its unpredictable transformation. As AI continues to advance, large numbers of job seekers will need financial support while trying to catch up with these novel and unpredictable jobs. However, there is an antidote to this potential crisis hidden within the rise of AI itself. The current rise of AI is sustained by what can be considered the biggest knowledge theft in recent years. Learning AI machines are extracting knowledge from both skilled and unskilled workers without their awareness by analyzing their interactions. These workers, who passionately do their jobs, are unknowingly digging their own graves as they contribute to the development of AI technology. To address this issue and create a fairer paradigm for Artificial Intelligence systems, we propose Human-in-the-loop Artificial Intelligence (HIT-AI). Under this approach, aware and unaware knowledge producers will be rewarded with a different scheme: any decisions made by AI systems that generate revenues will repay the legitimate owners of the knowledge used to make those decisions. In essence, HIT-AI researchers aim to become modern-day Robin Hoods, fighting for a fairer Artificial Intelligence that gives back what it steals. In conclusion, while the future of AI holds great promise in terms of technological advancements and efficiency improvements across various industries, it also poses significant challenges for the job market. The rise of AI has been fueled by extracting knowledge from workers who remain unaware of their contributions. To rectify this imbalance and ensure fairness in the development and application of AI technology, adopting HIT-AI as a new paradigm can provide a solution where knowledge producers receive rightful compensation for their contributions.
